This was going to be our first major house renovation. We had a design, so how to pick a builder? From several builders we approached we finally chose Greg Higgins and Ocean Villa Homes for a number of reasons: construction time frame was right; building cost estimates seemed reasonable and plausible; and Greg came to us highly recommended. Once we had met him a few times we felt that he would be a good man to work with and we were bit disappointed. Although completion of the project was longer than estimated, the end result exceeded our expectations and came out very close to his projected costs.

Greg Higgins (Ocean Villa Homes) was the general contractor for the remodeling of our home in Nanoose. This project was extensive and complicated. There were permits required, we requested changes to be made along the way, and unearthing things revealed a few surprises. Greg dealt with all of these things superbly and calmly. His crew (especially Barry who did almost all of the carpentry work) was courteous, pleasant, highly skilled, reliable, and hardworking. Greg provided accurate estimates of the costs, was always available for consultations, and went the extra mile to make sure everything was completed and done correctly.

We’ve dealt with many building contractors over the years, and have had pretty good luck. But Greg was certainly the best. We would want to hire him for any job we might have in the future.
